A good start to go on studying. Nov 24, 2001 The pronunciation of the sentences is very clear, assertive, warm, and friendly. The sentences in Italian, followed by the sentences in English, sometimes contain some errors (e.g. there're words in feminin rather than in masculine). The guidance to the right pronunciation is excellent, but sometimes it's insufficient (e.g. the sentence "How much do I owe you?") appears once in the course, without guidance to the right pronunciation and it's hard to understand). The course is interactive, there's some right pauses for telling in advance the English sentences after the Italian speaker, and then for repeating them. At the end of the course I realized that I've enriched by new words and expressions, and that I can speak English and read it too. That's a good start for me to go on studying. I bought this course because I have to study English by myself. I can't study in a class room because I'm hard of hearing. When I got the course and I saw that there's not a book with the written text of the sentences I was astounded. But then I tried to listen to the cassettes on my daily walk and I found out that I could identify all the words little by little, with the help of my hearing aid, a good dictionary, an English grammar book and my family. Then everything had gone on automatically. I'd recommend it although it's expensive.
