O.K. but with mistakes Aug 31, 2008 I found this very informative. Loved it, except for some mistakes. For example, on page 121 that's about the country of Jordan, they put the, "at a glance," info. of Japan, which is the previous page (so Japan's info shows up twice). The same goes for page 56 about Bolivia; they wrote the, "at a glance," info of Bosnia, which is the following page. That happens a couple of more times. They also wrote that the life expectency of Lesotho for a male is 6.8, meaning that there's vertually only male boys, no men. And, the shape of the country of Liechtenstein is vertically, and that's not how it's shown anywhere else I see. But on the positive side, Overall it's not bad, I think I would still buy it even with the few mistakes, and the price is reasonable.

Riddled with huge paste errors! Apr 15, 2008 I bought this from Borders as a brand new release in November 2007, as a study aid for an appearance on Jeopardy. On my scan in the store, the categories of information looked very useful. But whoa, what a shocker when I really tried to use it. Entire pages of facts for one country were replaced by another. At least two cases of this. Sometimes the first or last paragraphs did relate to the indexed country, but the other paragraphs were pasted in from the entry for some other country. Several cases of this. I even tried looking for the missing data in the country from which the paste error came, but they weren't just switched, unfortunately. The pasted over data was lost completely.
I was frankly astonished that such a slick publication from a famed atlas company could be so incredibly screwed up - and I can't believe there aren't any reviews here yet! Maybe no one else bought it, or maybe they just never actually cracked it open! Borders certainly has a record of my purchase, so if a corrected version has been issued, they didn't take the step to contact prior purchasers of the original steaming pile of "facts".
