JanSport Odyssey Daypack

Take it into the backcountry or haul all the school supplies you'll ever need, either way the JanSport Odyssey Backpack offers spacious organized storage and a comfortable suspension system for adventures of the wilderness or academic kind. The Odyssey is one of those backpacks that you can stuff with 25 pounds of gear or books without worrying about suffering from an achy back. AirLift shoulder straps made of a unique shock absorbing material distribute the weight evenly, and a tuck-away padded hip belt works in tandem with an internal frame sheet to share the load with the shoulders when necessary. For hikes or hot afternoons on campus, the JanSport Odyssey Backpack includes a reservoir-ready hydration sleeve so you can easily arrange for hands-free drinks on the go. Side compression straps keep the load from shifting when scrambling over rocks or quickly descending an uneven path, and reflective details add an element of safety if your usual route home involves a bike ride or roadside walk.

  • Multi-use daypack with 2350 cubic inch capacity

  • S-curved Airlift straps with Gelastic Gellycomb relieve stress from your shoulders

  • Padded hipbelt tucks away behind the back when not needed

  • V-Loft security pocket provides quick access to CD player and valuable items

  • Hydration sleeve for hanging optional hydration reservoirs

4backpack with a lot of pockets  Sep 23, 2008
My husband didn't like this backpack because it had too many pockets. I find it to be durable and large enough to pack for a weekend trip. It does have a lot of pockets, but that doesn't mean it's not a good pack.

4GOOD PACK  Jul 16, 2008
IVE USED IT FOR CAMPING/CANEOING & ALSO IN COLLEGE THIS THING WORKS GREAT, PLENTY OF STORAGE ALMOST TO MUCH SOMETIMES, I AGREE WITH WHAT MOST REVIEWERS SAID ABOUT ALL THE BENEFITS, MY ONE PROBLEM IS THAT THE LITTLE PLASTIC DEALS THAT THE STERNUM STRAP IS ATTACHED TO PULLED OFF THE PACK ON ONE SIDE

5Very Satisfied  Jun 23, 2008
Gave this as a HS grad gift, and it was a hit! LOTS of space and pockets and zippers and loops and hooks...etc. Will fit a laptop nicely, along with books and supplies. Waist belt and comfy shoulder straps. My daughter's boyfriend has one, and her college friends admire it. Works good as a daypack and travel pack for overnighters, too. Price was right, and Amazon was fantastic as always. I was happy with this purchase.

5Buy only the JanSport Odyssey Backpack for Middle School and up!  May 10, 2008
This is the second JanSport Odyssey Backpack I've purchased online. Now both my high school age sons have one. It is the best model to protect their backs as it provides the largest available volume for their numerous heavy books. No sign of wear or zipper breakage in the one the oldest son has had for 1 1/2 yrs. I'm sure they'll be going to college with them! Be smart and start you kids in middle school with this backpack and don't waste your money on any other!

5JanSport Odyssey  Mar 26, 2008
This is my second JanSport Odyssey bag, I used my backpack through 4 years of college and now I bought this one for my wife who is starting college this spring. This bag is perfect for school; it has enough compartments to hold books and binders for 3 classes. It has a compartment that holds enough pencils and pens to last you the whole year. It also has pockets to hold water bottles, your cell phone, and your lunch. I am still using my backpack to commute via bus and ferry to work. I highly recommend this backpack for anyone who is going to school. Hope this helps.
