Excellent! The car is the perfect place to learn a language... Oct 08, 2008 I spend alot of time in the car and this is excellent. I can understand basic stuff already (after 20 hours). This teaches by hearing over and over and repeating over and over just like you learned to talk as a child. For me, this is exactly what I was looking for. 2 thumbs up!
Mervellieux! Aug 30, 2008 Great product that is fun to use. I had 8+ years of "school" French over 20 years ago, plus a junior year abroad in Paris. This many years later, it has been a great review for me and introuctory course for my daughters and husband. Whether or not we get to Paris or Quebec next year, we have had many fun and educational hours of family time in our car with this series! I may try a new language!
Not a miracle worker, but very useful. Jul 05, 2008 This is a good package. With these cds you can have good 60 minute lesson every day. You won't become fluent using these materials alone, but they are good suppliments (especially when used after the Pimsleur course). Formal study and actual practice are always essential. Listen to the cds between classes in your free time and you will notice the benefits.
NOT for learning in your car Jun 17, 2008 I have bought several books and CDs to learn and practice my French. I found this collection to be the worst. There is NO conversation. Words are repeated (TWICE) so that you have to memorize them. Simple phrases don't even start until Lesson 26. I found it impossible to listen to this in my car, since I couldn't stop or rewind quickly enough to hear the words again to repeat them. This was a waste of $$.
a relaxing way to learn french!! May 22, 2008 This is a bargain way to learn french...it's also very relaxing. Just insert the cd into your car stereo and follow along. I have a one hour commute each way to school, and this is so much better than listening to the same old stuff on the radio!! I highly recommend.
