Easier to use than earlier versions, but dislike new dating content May 09, 2008 I have "Learn in Your Car French" and "Learn in Your Car Italian" in earlier versions (when the French still used francs and the Italians still used lire). In those older versions, it's hard to tell when a CD gets to the last lesson and begins to repeat the first lesson. In this new version of "Learn in Your Car German," it is very easy to tell, because each CD begins with music.
The older French and Italian versions have translations of the same English sentences, but the newer German version has updated ones. The new sentences about computers are useful to me, but I could do without all the dating-related stuff!

Easy way of Refreshing Feb 19, 2008 This product is very helpful to learn basic vocabulary and pronounce correctly. It is the easiest way to learn language since you can listen via CD's as walking or traveling, but one important thing is you have to have (or priorly had) a basic lesson on that language. In other words, you must not start learning with these CD's. In my opinion, starting from zero trying to learn with those CD's can be both very very hard and misleading since you may not use in the correct place or have a comprehensive understanding of the vocabulary. Besides, you have to read and look at the typing of the words (not only listening would be enough)to be able to write in German. In case you have a beginner level knowledge or currently take German courses, this product would be much more beneficial to refresh your mind and correct your pronounciation.

A way to practice Dec 15, 2007 The Learn in your car German is great when teamed up with a little mp3 player because it allows you to practice while doing other things that do not require your full attention such as mowing or just walking.

german in my car Dec 03, 2007 I am very happy with the CD's for learning German in my car. The diction is clear. The pauses between words and phrases are comfortable.
I have a college minor in german which has been in the back of my brain since 1976. I'm listening to the 2nd CD and delighted with the memories I am pulling up to consciousness.

Learn in your car German Oct 10, 2007 This is a good way to learn German. It is the way a child learns to speak. You hear the words, then learn sentences. It is still not an over night learning, you have to practice, but it does seem easier than the way I was thought in school. It is a very good refresher course.
